PUTTING DOWN WATER WELLS IN
NORTHERN UGANDA AND SOUTH SUDAN
A WELL IS THE HUB OF THE VILLAGE

It has often been said that a community is only as solid as its drinking water. In Northern Uganda and Southern Sudan, it can be a challenge to have safe drinking water because of the costs involved, unless paid for by an organisation like AOEA.

Often shallow wells are put down as they are much cheaper. The issue with these wells is that many times they contain parasites and even pesticides which can cause sickness in a community.

A good deep tested well can cost anywhere around $8,000 to $12,000USD - that is, totally finished and ready to pump water.

HOW CAN YOU HELP SAM DRILL MORE WELLS?

If you feel led to help Sam drill more wells in the bush areas in Northern Uganda and South Sudan, then maybe consider making a donation - whether it be $20 or $12,000 (Full well project deep in the bush).

Any amount will help the families that live in remote regions who might otherwise be drinking from mud puddles, shallow wells or even having to walk hours in the hot African sun.
