Reformed, after being a drug user and seller whilst in his younger years, Sam has a heart for the people living with addiction. He, himself, was addicted for many years but eventually made a decision to turn his life around.
​
Sam regularly speaks at Centres about his addiction at a young age, and how he became free from the "Pig Pen" as he calls it.
​
In part of Sam's testimony, about his younger days, he mentions that he was a no-good biker thug who sold and used drugs. He was a shotgunner for drug deals and just plain, down-right mean.
​
This is how he can relate to the people who are suffering from an addiction. Sam always allots part of his tours, wherever he is in the world, to visit centres/rehabs and prisons, to speak to the lost, in the hope that his words will take them to another level on the journey to recovery.
